515 families in Faridganj upazila of Chandpur district, 185 in Haimchar upazila and 300 families in Raipur upazila of Lakshipur have been given this assistance. The flood victims are covered under the scope of this assistance under the total of 6 branches including 5 branches in Haimchar and Faridganj upazilas of Chandpur district and 1 branch in Lakshipur Raipur upazila.

Family-based grants are distributed from their respective offices in the presence of concerned Upazila Nirbahi Officers. It was attended by Mrs. Umma Salma Nazneen Trisha (Upzilla Nirbahi Officer, Haimchar), Mr. Md. Imran Khan (Upzilla Nirbahi Officer, Raipur, Laksmipur) and PKSF General Manager Mr. Mejbahur Rahman.

Besides, Mr. B.M. Kamroul Hassan (Director, MF) and other officials was present on behalf of the organization.

With the aim of providing health services and necessary medicines to the people affected by the ongoing flood in the south-eastern region of the country, SDS has continued the “free health care and medicine distribution program” for the last 1 week with its own funding.

Considering the emergency situation for the flood-affected areas, this service is ensured through 6 branches of Chandpur and Laksmipur districts by going to various shelters and houses of water-affected people. Under this program, separate treatment and separate medicines are distributed for children, elderly, pregnant women. So far about 1200 patients have been distributed free medical care along with medicine. It should be noted that the activities are conducted by 3 teams of experienced doctors in health care and medicine distribution activities.

দেশের দক্ষিণ-পূর্বঞ্চলে চলমান বন্যায় ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত ও পানিবন্দি মানুষের স্বাস্থ্য সেবা ও প্রয়োজনীয় ঔষধ প্রদানের কথা মাথায় রেখে এসডিএস নিজস্ব অর্থায়নে ‘’বন্যার্তদের মাঝে বিনামূল্যে স্বাস্থ্যসেবা প্রদান ও ঔষধ বিতরণ কার্যক্রম’’ পরিচালনা করে।

বন্যা কবলিত এলাকায় দুর্গতদের জন্য জরুরী অবস্থা বিবেচনায় চাঁদপুর ও লক্ষীপুর জেলার ৬ টি শাখার মাধ্যমে বিভিন্ন আশ্রয় কেন্দ্রে ও পানিবন্দি মানুষের বাড়ি গিয়ে এ সেবা নিশ্চিত করা হয়। এ কার্যক্রমের আওতায় শিশু, বয়স্ক, গর্ভবতীদের জন্য আলাদা চিকিৎসা এবং আলাদা ঔষধ বিতরণ করা হয়। এপর্যন্ত প্রায় ১২০০ রোগীকে বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসা সেবাসহ ঔষধ বিতরণ করা হয়। উল্লেখ্য স্বাস্থ্যসেবা ও ঔষধ বিতরণ কার্যক্রমে অভিজ্ঞ চিকিৎসকের ৩টি টিমের সমন্বয়ে কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করা হয়।
